MANTIS is designed to avoid lock-in. Your team can export usable copies of vessel records, survey packs, transfer packages, audit history, and uploaded evidence documents from the app.

Commercial terms

Questions before you start

Do I need a credit card?

No. The trial runs for 30 days without card details. Billing starts only if you explicitly choose a paid plan and provide payment details.

What happens when the trial ends?

You are not charged automatically. Continuing to work in MANTIS requires you to choose a subscription. Your existing records remain subject to the retention and export terms in the Privacy Policy, and you can contact support if you need help exporting or continuing.

What does MANTIS cost after the trial?

MANTIS is €59 per vessel per month or €590 per vessel per year. Both billing options include the same product features. Fleet pricing is available on request for operators managing multiple vessels.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

No. Published prices exclude applicable VAT. Estonian VAT applies to EU customers unless a valid VAT number supports reverse-charge treatment. The final tax treatment appears during billing or on the agreed fleet invoice.

Which payment methods and invoices are supported?

Self-serve subscriptions use Stripe-hosted card payment and invoices. Subscription changes, payment details, and invoices are managed from the Billing tab in MANTIS Settings. Contract or fleet billing can be agreed separately.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so access continues through the period already paid for. Data then follows the archive, export, and deletion terms in the Privacy Policy.

Why is MANTIS cheaper than a managed IHM service?

Because MANTIS is software. Your crew, DP, superintendent, or manager keeps the record current while class, flag, and specialists remain responsible for formal decisions and certification.

Can existing IHM data be imported?

Yes. Part I supports Excel import. Optional onboarding is available when an old record needs cleanup, but the standard workflow is self-serve.

Can fleets use it?

Yes. Fleet and vessel accounts use the same MANTIS product. Fleet pricing is a volume arrangement based on the number of vessels, not a separate feature tier.

Is my data always mine?

Yes. Records remain exportable through Excel backups, survey packs, transfer packages, and full archive exports that include uploaded evidence documents.

Is my data safe?

MANTIS configures its primary application data in the EU, uses provider encryption at rest, creates daily encrypted database exports, and applies vessel-scoped access through Row-Level Security. The security page explains the controls, backup boundary, sub-processors, and current independent-assurance status.
