These terms govern your use of the MANTIS IHM compliance management platform (“MANTIS”), operated by Navio Maritime OÜ (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using MANTIS, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

MANTIS provides software tools for managing Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) compliance under maritime regulations. We provide the platform; you are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and the compliance decisions you make based on that data.

MANTIS does not provide regulatory advice. The output of the platform (survey packs, compliance reports, certificate tracking) supports your compliance process — it does not substitute for qualified maritime professionals or classification society review.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

MANTIS is designed for professional use by vessel operators, management companies, and maritime compliance personnel. By creating an account, you confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of your organisation.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must enable multi-factor authentication if required by your organisation’s security policy.

Notify us immediately at security@mantis-ihm.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable Use

You may not use MANTIS to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the platform’s security
• Resell or sublicense access to MANTIS without written agreement
• Use the platform in a way that disrupts other users’ access

4. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you enter into MANTIS. We process your data to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.

5. Availability and Changes

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service unless a separate customer agreement provides a contractual service level. Scheduled maintenance will normally be announced at least 48 hours in advance. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice, while preserving the core IHM-management function during a paid subscription term.

6. Billing and Cancellation

Access is provided under the commercial terms agreed for your vessel or organisation. The standard free trial lasts 30 days, requires no payment card, and never converts to a paid subscription automatically. Standard pricing is €59 per vessel per month or €590 per vessel per year. Fleet pricing is available on request. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance unless agreed otherwise. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Refunds for partial billing periods are not provided unless required by applicable law.

When service terminates, your account becomes unavailable and your data is handled under the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. You may request an export before termination or during an agreed transition period. Customer Personal Data is deleted from production systems within 30 days of termination unless applicable law requires limited retention or the customer instructs us to return it first. Automated backup copies age out under the documented backup rotation schedule.

7. Intellectual Property

MANTIS, including its application, design, code, documentation, and brand, is owned by Navio Maritime OÜ or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for the duration of your trial or subscription. Regulatory source material remains subject to the rights and terms of its original publishers.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Navio Maritime OÜ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MANTIS.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice by email or in-product notice before a material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not accept a material change, you may terminate the service before it takes effect.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Estonian courts.

11. Community Document Library

MANTIS includes a shared library of supplier documents — Material Declarations (MDs), Statements of Compliance (SDoCs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) — contributed voluntarily by MANTIS users.

Contributing. By sharing a document to the community library, you confirm that you have the right to distribute it and that it was obtained from the named manufacturer or supplier.

Using community documents. Navio Maritime does not review, verify, endorse, or warrant the accuracy of community-contributed documents. You remain solely responsible for confirming that any document you use is the current revision issued by the manufacturer, that it matches the specific make, model, and serial number of equipment fitted onboard, and that your vessel’s IHM is accurate, complete, and compliant with all applicable requirements.
